Privacy

How Doobox Software handles information on this website and in our apps.

Last updated: 12 August 2026

Doobox Software (“we”, “us”) understands concerns about privacy, both on and off the internet. This policy explains what information we gather, how we use it, and how you can ask us to correct or delete it.

Scope

This policy covers:

  • This website and related company pages
  • Our macOS and iOS apps distributed via the Mac App Store / App Store (and any other channels we may use)
  • Support and newsletter communications you choose to start with us

Website

Web traffic / usage data

We may log non-identifying details such as IP address, time of access, pages viewed, browser type, and files downloaded, to understand site performance and usage patterns. IP addresses are not combined with other data to identify you.

Cookies

Our site does not use cookies to process your personal data. You can configure your browser to notify, block, or delete cookies.

Support form

If you contact us via the support form, we collect the details you provide (typically name, email, application, subject, and message) so we can respond. That information is used only for support and is not sold or shared for marketing.

Email news list

If you subscribe to a newsletter, you must provide a name and email address. This information is used only to send the newsletter. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in those emails, or by contacting support@doobox.co.uk. Subscriber details are never provided to third parties for marketing.

Apps

No background data collection

We do not collect personal data from your device in the background.

App data

Your content (for example icon files or project data) remains on your device and/or in your iCloud Drive as you choose. We do not have access to that unless you share it with us for support.

In-app purchases and payments

Payments are processed by Apple. We do not receive your full payment details (for example card numbers). Apple’s privacy policy applies to your App Store account and purchases.

Crash reports & diagnostics (optional)

If you have enabled “Share with App Developers” in macOS/iOS settings, Apple may provide us anonymised crash logs and performance metrics to improve stability. We cannot use these to identify you.

App Store privacy labels

For each App Store listing, our App Privacy section describes what is collected (if anything). We do not collect data for tracking or advertising.

Sharing

We do not sell or share personal data with third parties for marketing. We may disclose information if required by law, or as needed to protect our rights and the security of our services.

Retention

Support correspondence is retained as long as needed to resolve your request and for ordinary business records. Newsletter details are retained while you are subscribed and deleted promptly after you opt out. Server logs are kept only as long as useful for security and analytics.

Your rights

Contact support@doobox.co.uk to request access, correction, or deletion of data you have provided to us (for example newsletter details or support emails).

If you are in a region with additional privacy rights (such as the UK GDPR, EU GDPR, or CCPA/CPRA), you may also have rights to restrict processing and to opt out of sale/sharing. We do not sell or share personal data for advertising, and we will honour applicable requests.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the data we handle. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated policy is effective when posted on this page.
