Stack Info

Overview

In its simplest form Typist automatically types out the text you enter inside with a human-like feel.

But it does not stop there. There is so much more Typist can do. Like, show some other content when it has finished typing its text.

Let us tell you all about it in the live demo below.

Settings

In this section, we have provided a comprehensive list of available settings, and a full description of what each of the settings does for the stack.

Trigger

"When Scrolled into View"
This option triggers the typing when the stack scrolls into view. If the stack is already in view on page load, then the typing will begin.

"On Completion of Typist Stack Above"
This option triggers the stack when the nearest Typist stack above it completes its typing. If there is no Typist stack above this stack, the typing will never start.

It would be helpful to understand how this works.
When any Typist stack completes its typing, it looks through the entire page for other Typist stacks below its self. The first one it finds below, it checks if it is configured to trigger by the completion of the stack above. If it is, it triggers it. If it is not, then it does nothing further.

Delay

This is a start typing delay in seconds, from the time the stack would normally be triggered.

Text Type

Choose between a paragraph text, or any of the heading size texts.

Text Colours

Let your theme choose the colour of the text and cursor, or select "custom" to override with your own text colours.

Text Align

Align the text within the stack to the left, right, or center.

Humanize

The higher the value, the more human like the typing appears. This is done by randomising the time delays between the typing of each character of text, and punctuation get added weight.

On Complete

This is what you'd like to happen when the typing of the provided text completes.
The options are:

Do Nothing
Remove The Flashing Typing Cursor
Show Extra Content Below

Options 1 and 2 are self explanatory.
Option 3 "Show Extra Content Below" provides a stacks drop zone below the text in edit mode. What ever you place in this drop zone will be revealed when the text typing of this stack is complete.

Edit Mode

We pay great attention to how we approach the editing interface of every stack, to ensure intuitive ease of use.

Stack installation

Download.

After purchase, you will be sent an email containing a download link for the stack.
Download the zip file from the link, and unzip it to reveal the stack inside.
You should now see the stack as a logo style icon.

Normal installation.

Double click the un-zipped stack file (the one that looks like a piece of lego).
This will launch Rapidweaver if it was not already running, to automatically install the stack.
Rapidweaver handles the install process from here. Guiding you through a couple of simple clicks to complete the installation.
Re-start Rapidweaver to ensure the installation is complete.
You will now see the new stack in the Stacks plugin library.

Installation where more than one version of Rapidweaver is installed.

Sometimes if there is more than one version of Rapidweaver installed on your system, the double click method launches the wrong version of Rapidweaver to install the stack. To ensure the it is installed into the version you want to install to, you can, instead of double clicking the stack, just drag and drop it onto the appropriate Rapidweaver app icon in your dock at the bottom of your screen.

This will launch Rapidweaver if it was not already running, to automatically install the stack.
